Terms of use
The summary you accept when you first open Companion. It states what the software will not do as plainly as what it does.
- Your accounts only
- This software is licensed for copying between trading accounts that you own. It is not for copying between accounts belonging to different people, and support does not cover that use.
- No advice, no signals
- We do not provide, curate, or recommend any trading strategy, and we never tell the software what to trade. Every decision about what is copied, and between which accounts, is yours.
- It runs on your machines
- Copying runs on VPS boxes you rent, using terminals and broker accounts you control. We never hold your broker credentials or your VPS credentials.
- Your trade data stays with you
- Your trades, positions, account numbers and balances stay on your own machines. The only thing this app sends us is your product key and an anonymous machine fingerprint, to check your licence.
- If your licence lapses
- An expired or cancelled licence stops the software opening new copied positions. It never closes, changes, or abandons a position you already have open - those continue to be managed normally.
- Provided as-is
- Trading carries risk and you are responsible for your own accounts. This software is provided without warranty, and we are not liable for trading losses, broker behaviour, or the availability of your VPS.
Where this test build falls short of the summary
If your licence lapses. This build stops new accounts being added, but does not yet stop new copies opening. It never closes, changes or abandons an open position.
What the app sends us. Besides your product key (sent as you typed it, over an encrypted connection) and the machine fingerprint, the licence check includes the app version and basic operating system details. The app also sends a heartbeat and crash reports, both of which you can switch off in Settings. None of it is trade data. Exactly what is sent.
The full licence terms are not published yet
Companion is in private testing and is not for sale. The full terms will be published here before anyone can buy a licence. If anything above is unclear, ask us.
